2 years probation, except there is no actual probation, no missed tv, no missed postseason, no loss of scholarships. And they rescinded a 250K fine levied against Tressel, and changed his status to officially retired which conveniently makes him eligible for a nice pension.

I see they really want to crack the whip.

But, but... they vacated all their wins in 2010! Even the SUGAR Bowl! :biglaugh:

The NCAA has to hammer them at least as hard as USC was hammered. If they don't, that will be serious BS.

Something on this that I saw on an ASU board.

"I pulled an all nighter at the casino and didn't answer or return calls from my wife.

To avoid any subsequent conflict at home I self-imposed the following sanctions:

1. All sex partners prior to our marriage will be vacated. While of course I cannot "reverse" the fact that the sex happened, all partners will be no longer be credited with having sex with me.

2. One year probation.

My wife initially thought the sanctions were too harsh, but I just told her that I had to show her that I am taking this incident seriously."

If you put yourself on two year probation, can you just deny wrongdoing until the third year?
