Wow, Ohio State just looks totally over whelmed so far in this game.

Even though OSU picked off that pass in the end zone to end the first half, this game has the potential to get very ugly for the Buckeyes.

I normally would wish for both teams to lose, but I put my A$FN on USC to win so I hope they continue to pile it on OSU.

Hate to say it but so far TOSU is much better with Pryor at QB. I can understand Tressel going with the senior but right now the freshman is playing better.

Looks like a mismatch so far although if TOSU could stop the penalties the game would be a bit closer.

I'm not a fan of them either and I went to college there.

Now, can the American College football fan finally put the Big Ten into its proper perspective? They are a good conference and Ohio State is a good team.

What they are not is a super conference and the contributor of an automatic slot in the BCS championship game every year. They get preseason anointed , every year with 6 teams in the top top 15 and get exposed 3 months later in the bowl matchups.

Yesterday Michigan got whooped by a very mediocre Notre Dame. Ohio State got hammered by a very good USC. Illinois squeeked by Louisiana Lafayette, Wisconsin barely beat Fresno State, for the Big 10's best performance of the week. Purdue did hang in against Oregon and Penn State whooped up on the worst big time team in the country. Now lets see if the pollsters can see what the rest of us saw. They are not nearly as good as predicted. Good is not great.

This may be the BCS year for the "at larges" to finally break through the barrier and the Big 10 to slide back to the pack in the polls.

I give you BYU, East Carolina, South Florida, etc. Should be fun.

What pisses me off, is OSU will probably slide to 10-12, play the rest of their weak ass schedule and by the timedecember rolls around (when OSU has been off for a month already) they will again be back in the top 2-3. Sickening.

If their was any justice, OSU would fall in the polls at least 12 spots to the 15-18 range. Wont happen though

Anybody else noticed what Joe McKnight had written on his eye black?

PAY DAY.

I guess Carroll is really concerned about the team image with the Bush case still ongoing.

Truly horrible coaching by Tressel. USC was clearly the better team but as Russ pointed out, the QB flip-flopping was grotesque, considering one guy was effective and the other horrible.

Wally, your Big 10 and Notre Dame contempt is undeserved but understandable, considering your bias. The SEC is currently the top dog conference but these things are cyclical.

The Big 12 is very good and Nebraska won't stay down forever.

To be fair, I don't care who TOSU played at QB they were going to lose, SC is just the better team, so far the best team I've seen.

I'd say Oklahoma is the closest team to SC I've seen, Florida could be interesting if they get healthy(Harvin). Missouri has the offense but USC would score at will on that defense.

Right now in my mind the best matchup in the BCS title game would be USC's offense against USC's defense.

I have no hate for Notre Dame, seriously. My significant other is a blatant Golden Domer, so I have learned to keep my mouth shut. I am really losing interest in the Hurricane, after all these years. I have a better time watching Texas Tech, USF, and the rest of the up and coming teams.

FYI now that I know the story behind USC DB Shareece Wright I have to apologize for chastizing Pete Carroll for not suspending him for this game.

He was at a party for one of his buddies who was about to be shipped off to Iraq. A neighbor complained the party was too loud, police were called, and they demanded everyone leave. 3 of Wright's friends were arrested for not cooperating with police, he wasn't arrested but was questioned and later arrested and charged with the same thing.

The kicker, Wright told the police he was on a suspended license, had been drinking, and he couldn't leave because his ride was one of the 3 guys they'd just arrested. The police kept ordering him to leave, the mother of the friend the party was for told the police he can stay here overnight, but they still wound up charging him with a felony.

Apparently the prior problem that resulted in a suspended license he also failed to appear in court so that's why he wound up getting arrested, when they ran his information and saw that they decided to just arrest him and charge him with the offense.

So while the kid is clearly no angel, I can understand why Carroll has not suspended him it does sound like he got a raw deal he couldn't legally drive to leave the party and he was invited to stay as a guest of the owner of the place.
