what is:
3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.

5. Strength of victory.

6. Strength of schedule. (I assume this is record at end of season and not when they played)

Thank you

3. It means how each team did against teams that they both played. There have to be at least 4 common games.
5. Winning percentage of teams that were beat. Whoever beat the better teams wins this tie breaker.
6. Winning percentage of all teams played.

The highest probability is that the Cardinals get a one seed if they beat Seattle and a 5 seed if they don't. I don't believe a 6 seed is possible.
A 2 is possible if they lose to Seattle and beat SF and then Seattle loses to the Rams. Green Bay would also have to win both of their games.

thanks azlen

on this one:

it scares me still.
is this 4 common games outside the division or can the NFL screw us by deciding to look at (stl, seattle, sf, and denver)?

The only team the common team tie breaker could come into play with is Green Bay and there aren't four common games so that tie breaker couldn't be used. There are only three common teams, Seattle, Atlanta and Detroit.

Who won the most games between all teams both teams played.

Code:
5. Strength of victory.

you combine the records of the opponents in each of the team's wins and calculate the total winning percentage. The team whose opponents have the higher winning percentage wins the tiebreaker.

This is who at the end of the year played the harder schedule between the teams that tied.

Thank you

We are in. If only we can beat Seattle we would have the one seed. We would not even have to play SF.

getting the 1 seed would be so ridiculous. Man, I hope this D and Lindley play the game of their LIVES Sunday night.

We have four common opponents (and five games) with Green Bay: PHI/DET/ATL/SEA. We are both 2-2, with one game remaining (SEA for us, DET for them).

Also, to make it easier when looking for the common games, against a team from an NFC division we didn't play in its entirety (this year, the North and the South), there should always be four common opponents for five common games (unless they are the team we happened to play head-to-head).

With Green Bay, they are:
1) the one team in their division we played: DET
2) the one team in our division they played: SEA
3) the one team they played in the division we played (East): PHI
4) the one team we played in the division they played (South): ATL

I'm getting dizzy reading all of these scenarios. I hope it can all be simplified by just beating the Hags Sunday.

we need the number one seed.... our offense plays with more confidence at home and our D plays on an entirely different level..... having to go on the road during playoff time is likely a death sentence.

However....getting the #2 seed and staying home until we have to play Seattle in the Championship.........well,...that suxx too
