Seahawk fan here. I was lurking around here after our first game in November and all I read was how Boldin was the second coming, the best Cardinal ever, the heart and soul of the team, face surgery w/no pain killers, "PAY HIM" yada yada...

Now I come back to read the board and you all kick Boldin to the curb. What exactly changed in two months? I'm not sure I understand.

HAHAHA Fitz playoff dominance is what happened. There are plenty around here that havent kicked him to the proverbial curb.

Hard to make everyone on the team happy with contracts. Also hard to keep two stud WRs. I think some people are willing to go with Breaston and Fitz if it means we can keep more of our other guys.

I have not kicked him to the curb and a lot of other posters are still sticking with Q. The championship game episode was hard to watch, but we mostly stick by our players or I do at least until they take the red jersey off.

I still love Boldin but the Cards having a great record without him and Fits complete dominance, followed by Breaston break out, I think have eased some seperation anxiety for some of the guys on this board. But like others have said, I am calling it with so much focus and Fits and Boldin not being in the playoffs much, I'm prepared to see Boldin light it up on the World stage, he is playing for pride and a new contract!!

I think it's kind of natural because we figure he's gone, as some just said easing the seperation anxiety.

Boldin is a good guy, his agent is the devil though but it's just tough keeping two elite WR's on one team.

imho, and I'll probably get flamed for this...a whole lot of hypocrisy, and fair weather fans. I was SHOCKED to see how fast the people on this board turned on him after his altercation with Haley. It's crazy.

I was never in the "pay him" camp, nor was I in the "pack his stinking ass" camp. I'd love to see us keep him if we can, but we can win without him; that's proven. We don't NEED him, and I don't think he'll be here next year.

But then, I've always been more of a Fitz fan, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

It's ok, you are a Seahawk fan, dont think too deeply on it you might hurt yourself.

:D

Shaun Alexander ? I bet your fan base went through the same thing with him.

Anyway, not everyont is kicking thim to the curb.

Some knew a lot of the bad news surrounding Boldin was media hype.

Boldin is the still the man, and should be paid to stay here in AZ.

said it before and will say it again...pay the man and this all goes away.

DR pulls the strings and Q has shown enough in the games he has played to make him worth a new deal.

Boldin is the one who said he wanted to leave the Cards, not us. Fortunately, we have other receivers who play well so that there is no loss of production when he can't play. If he still wants to leave us then, hopefully, we can get something in return this time instead of just watching another pro bowler walk away with nothing in return.

I think we are just resigned to the fact that Q can't reconcile the fact that he is not "THE" superstar here. He battles with knowing how good Fitz is but also knowing how good and how celebrated he should be and would be on any other team. You can't pay two wrs 40M.

I am just resigned to the fact that he is leaving after the season and until he does he will such the life out of the progress we made this season. Is that who he is as a warrier? No but that who he has become as a result of Rosenhaus. His little act of leaving the NFC championship was bush league and I lost a lot of respect for him. He couldn't get over himself and suck it up.

That said, I still love the guy and expect him to be the star of the game for us on Sunday. If e could somehow pay him what he is worth and he change his attitude I say make it work. If not lets get as much as we can and get a killer RB with the picks we get for him and extend our core.

Boldin will likely have a very big Super Bowl, especially with the attention Fitz is getting.

The whining and moaning is just par for the course, man. We have two pro bowl starting WRs. One is tough as nails, the other has the best hands in the league. They are night and day in personality.

I'm a Boldin guy...have been from day one. But the reality is he may be traded in the offseason, and some people prep themselves for it by bashing him. And it isn't like he didn't give them a chance with his Haley spat and decision to beat it out of there instead of celebrating on the field. Big whoop, but it's enough justification for some.

Recall this time last year and last Summer, the board was ready to burn Fitz at the stake.

Oh yes. I recall that quite vividly.

This kinda stuff happens with all teams. I think it's silly for a Seahawks fan to stop on by and bring it up.
