That sucks I always like him even when he was at Texas. Just a shame to see someone's body fail them

He's gonna play through it. I figured this to be the outcome.

Some medical info about biceps tendon tears that perhaps went into the decision to play through it:

I wish him the best as far as helping the Big Red to win, but let's not act like this is Ray Lewis, Seau or AW playing with this. IMO This will hinder Alex's abilities greatly.

It depends on how tough the man is, this is something we really do not know or him and probably something that has never really been forced on him due to the contract year. If the man is NFL tough (and I say this with respect to all those who play the NFL, most guys we call soft are still a lot tougher than us but the NFL is an extreme hardship of will and physical perseverance). then he will contribute. The man is not exactly lighting quick and for his thick build, he should be adequate if he can suffer the pain and get good position on tackles

His best attribute is his hands, and now he is down one.

The best attribute he has now is it is his contract year. I hope he can help out because he is the best we have on this roster after Jones, and Golden.

Okafor really stood out to me at the Camp practices. He was getting consistent pressure against the 2nd team OL. I'm OK with him playing with the injury seeing as he isn't a full time starter. Now if he was a starter I would be sweating bullets right now.
