Porter Moser landed one of his biggest targets on Monday night. He's done a great job this offseason retooling the roster.

Former St. Joseph's guard Xzayvier Brown officially committed to play for the Oklahoma Sooners on Monday. He had been expected to choose OU as his destination after reports surfaced that Moser was set to hire Brown's stepfather, Justin Scott, as an assistant coach.

Brown helped St. Joe's to back-to-back NIT appearances in his first two collegiate seasons. He was named Atlantic-10 Freshman of the Year two seasons ago, averaging 12.7 points per game and shooting 40% from 3-point range. He followed that up with a 17.6 points-per-game average, along with five rebounds per game in 2024-2025.

Brown is the third player Oklahoma has picked up via the transfer portal this offseason and the highest-rated. He was ranked the No. 33 player available, and he joins previous OU commits Tae Davis, a forward from Notre Dame, and Nijel Pack, most recently of Miami (FL), who previously played at Kansas State. Davis was ranked No. 64 In the portal class, Pack ranked No. 39.

Moser still has four scholarship spots left to fill on next year's roster. That transfer portal trio will join a freshman class that includes a pair of four-star recruits in forward Alec Blair, the No. 59 player in the nation, and center Kai Rogers, the No. 97 player. The Sooners also signed center Andreas Holst, a 6-foot-11 center from Denmark.

Brown will have two years of collegiate eligibility remaining.
