The transfer portal is open for college basketball despite the NCAA Tournament still ongoing. On Monday, Luke Northweather and Yaya Keita entered the portal, and now the Sooners have lost another forward. Former four-star prospect Jacolb Fredson-Cole has filed paperwork to enter the transfer portal, according to reports.
Fredson-Cole was a four-star player in the 247Sports composite and considered the No. 103 player in the nation coming out of high school. However, he never got on track with the Sooners, playing in just 15 games for the Sooners and averaging just 4.6 minutes per game.
The Sooners will face significant turnover once again this offseason under Porter Moser. Norweather, Ketia, and Fredson-Cole join seniors Jalon Moore, Brycen Goodine, Kobe Elvis, Duke Miles, Sam Godwin, and Mohamed Wague as Oklahoma departures this offseason. A formal decision from leading scorer Jeremiah Fears who has a chance to be taken in the lottery of the NBA Draft. He's a projected top 15 pick.
The Sooners have already been tied to several forwards in the transfer portal as Porter Moser looks to build off of his first NCAA Tournament appearance with the Oklahoma Sooners.
