Bryce Thompson scored 24 points and Abou Ousmane added 18 to lead the Oklahoma State men's basketball team to an 85-83 win at SMU in the second round of the NIT on Sunday in Dallas.

Brandon Newman added 12 points for the Cowboys (17-17).

Kario Oquendo scored a game-high 31 points to lead the Mustangs (24-11).

OSU will face the winner of Sunday night's Arkansas State-North Texas game in the quarterfinals on March 25 or 26.
