OXFORD — Even as Ole Miss basketball played in the 2025 NCAA tournament, the transfer portal was open.

The Rebels' postseason run under second-year coach Chris Beard ended in the Sweet 16. No. 6 Ole Miss lost 73-70 to No. 2 Michigan State on Friday in State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

It was just the second Sweet 16 appearance in Ole Miss history. The Rebels started four seniors and will have to replace much of their depth before next season.

John Bol: After spending his freshman season at Ole Miss, 7-foot-2 forward John Bol is leaving Oxford. 247Sports first reported the news.

Bol played in 17 games and averaged 4.1 minutes. He scored 19 points.
