The best part of the story:
"The allegations stemmed from a family argument at a cookout last April, and prosecutors said Miller was seen hitting his girlfriend's brother in the head and face with a handgun after he left the gathering."

That's the most entertaining story this season surrounding the Suns. What an idiot Oliver Miller is , he deserves every minute of jailtime.

He had a lot of talent but ate his way out of the NBA. He was never a bright guy. I beleive he lost most of his money he made

All I feel is sadness. What could have been!

Oof, I feel bad for the cellmate who gets to see his Big "O-Face".

I used to see Oliver Miller and his entourage at the Paradise Valley Mall, while he was on the Suns.

He acted like a 13 year old on steroids. Extremely immature. An embarrassment to the Suns name.

This is not a surprise! Unfortunately.

A friend of mine worked at Cooperstown as a waitress about 15 or so years ago and waited on KJ, Majerle, and Oliver Miller one night. After they finished their meal, she politely asked them to autograph a menu for her husband. KJ and Majerle obliged. Miller flat out told her "no."

Probably would have devalued it anyway, better off.

I was thete that night. It was funny in a very uncomfortable sort of way. I am sure it really hurt Miller. No heavy person I know wants to be that way.

Probably afraid it would be turned into a joke.

The fact that he sued the Suns over the event might indicate that he was offended.

Just out of curiosity, do you know what the outcome of the suit was?

IIRC the lawsuit was never filed. His agent (or lawyer) threatened a lawsuit and the Suns publicly apologized. I don't remember it going any further than that although I could be wrong.
