He jokingly said they didn't know who they would pick yet during the Draft lottery, but in an interview minutes later, posted at the NBA.Coms lottery page, he said they ARE going to take Lebron James. ESPN is still showing him having doubts about the pick on their video clips on ESPN2 right now, but he is on record saying James is the pick. So now we have the Milicic versus Anthony debate for Detroit.

Of course according to David Aldridge it isn't even a debate. According to him the Detroit Pistons ARE going to take Darko with the No. 2. Anthony really does not make much sense for them.

I saw that, but then I went to CBS Sportsline, i believe, and they had Melo going to Detroit, and that was after the draft. I think right now the ball is in Detroit's court, and I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't fielded some calls from other GMs on trade packages. In all honesty, as much as I like Melo of the top three, non are a Ewing, or Shaq, where I would mortgage my franchise for them. I think while people are saying Detroiot has shooters ans the obvious choice is Milicic for another front court guy, I wouldn't be surpised to see detroit take Melo if they could get a good trade for Prince or someone else other GMs would think would be obsolete if they drafted Melo. Of course the same could happen with Milicic. This year, I could see some things happening at the top of the draft. After that, I really wonder if any of the players from 5 on down are worth trading around for.

if you aw dumars face, when DA brought up Darko his eyes lit up, and he said "to be politically correct, either darko or carmelo would be a nice pick"

he basically was saying he is taking darko, but doesnt want to official announce it until the draft in case their is some sudden changes
