Optimism - We haven't lost at home all year and this team always manages to find a way to win.

Pessimism - Ryan Lindley is our starting QB and we're playing the defending Super Bowl champions and their defense looks to be in peak form.

Realism - Vegas has us as 8 point dogs at home. The odds are against us. The defense is going to have to play a nearly perfect game to keep us in the game and Lindley is going to have to play his best game ever for us to have a shot. Reality seems to be heavily weighted towards the pessimistic side of the scale. It's not impossible though. Teams have faced longer odds and still won.

Lindley gonna get his first TD pass of his career! It will be set up by a defensive TO on Seahawks side of the field.

Azlen: Good thread though I should add three additional critical factors under the 'Optimism' category.

1) One of the BIGGEST REASONS we've not lost at home is our outstanding fan base causing havoc with opposing defenses.

2) Our COACHING is the best there is as evidenced by our success dealing with adversity. BA will find a way to win - once again.

3) The complete national media LACK OF RESPECT for this team serves as a tremendous motivator for our players to prove otherwise.

Just sayin' brutha...

Thanks,
MadJack.

I am normally a pessimist. I tend to see the bottle half empty.

I have been very optimistic about this team since Keim was promoted to GM and BA was brought in as head coach. I also have a sneaking suspicion that BA just might find yet another way to pull a 'W' out of the hat against the Great Green Horde from the North West.

Realistically I know that is not likely-----but neither was being 11/3 after 14 games this year in light of the tremendous losses incurred by the Cardinals. Yet here we sit, leaders of the NFC, and in control of our own destiny. I like that a lot, and I know that Michael, Steve, and Bruce also do, along with a whole flock of coaching assistants, AND and entire roster of players who believe in BA's system AND in themselves. Don't count them out.

This team has defied the odds all season.
I have to believe that Lindley and Thomas are good enough if the other players are doing a good job.

I feel good about this week and the playoffs if they are at home but going on the road as a wildcard not so much.

What I figure is the every other player on the Cardinals knows that they are at a disadvantage playing with a third or fourth string QB. And therefore understand that will be up to every man on the team to bring his best effort and to leave it ALL on the field! They know that it is going to take

:newcards: EVERY MAN UP!!! :newcards:

We're playing with house money at this point. I think the pressure is all on the hags. If they lose, we grab #1 seed and home field, and that's a HUGE boon to us and huge blow to the hags. If we lose - well, everybody expected us to. We still make the playoffs and take our chances.

So much is at stake here. Nobody and I mean NOBODY in the league wants to face us at home in the playoffs, especially since Stanton should be back by then, especially if we get the bye. Green Bay? Doesn't scare me at all IF in our house. Nobody else either. Us on the road, that's another story. None of this will be lost on anyone come Sunday. I expect a monster effort from our boys. Can't wait to be there and be part of it!
