Magglio Ordonez hit two homers in an eight-run second inning and the Detroit Tigers beat the Oakland Athletics 11-6 Sunday to win consecutive games for only the second time since mid-July. Ordonez also surpassed 100 RBIs for the second straight season, helping the Tigers move back into first place in the AL Central by a half-game over slumping Cleveland.
