Tonight my Oregon Ducks try to win their third consecutive Pac-10 now pac-12 championship. I know you guys probably don't care, but it's quite the accomplishment coming from a little school in Oregon. I don't know how many times programs have won back to back to back pac-10 titles but it's definitely a first for Oregon. Now if they do win I hope they make something out of it and win the Rose Bowl. I believe if Oregon can get some size on defense and the offencive line they would have the talent to compete with any SEC team. Certainly their three-point loss in the national championship game shows they are not far from elite status. Of course if for some reason they lose to UCLA tonight being close to 30 point favorites that would definitely set their program back as far as national respect. They need to win this title and 3 peat following it up with a Rose Bowl victory over either Michigan or Wisconsin.

Go Ducks....................

I think they'll blow out UCLA. I would say this I'm not sure I buy the little school in Oregon thing though they have HUGE backing from Nike, they probably have the best facilities in the whole conference and it doesn't help to be able to borrow the NIKE jet to fly recruits in.

I do think they're a very exciting team to watch, I don't think the LaMichael James stuff is any worse than goes on anywhere else I don't think they're some renegade program like USC was. I do think it's much easier for them to compete because of the connection to Phil Knight though.

We've always said in basketball if they ever hired a really good coach it's a sleeping giant. Altman can coach but seems to have issues keeping kids, the football program seems to be on better footing right now.

I'd be amazed if UCLA stays close it's embarassing they're even in the game although obviously it's because USC is on probation.

Okay you got me. Oregon success came with Nike money. You guys are a lot smarter than the people I'm used to dealing with. Not sure what you're talking about when it comes to LaMichael James. If you're referring to the payment of the scouting company that had nothing to do with LaMichael James. Although that same scouting company did suggest to him he move to a different state so he would be eligible for major college football but that had nothing to do with the Ducks. LaMichael James did just that.

They are, if nothing else, entertaining. Why is coach Chip Kelly, so damned cranky?

Some of their players seem to keep getting in trouble, maybe thats it.

The guy just seems to hate interviews and interviewers. Got some Bobby Knight in him. A few weeks ago, Erin Andrews did an on field mini interview post game, and she warned him that she wouldn't be taking any ***** from him ( sort of ). He was dumbfounded and gave a non Chip Kelly type ( typically acerbic dust off ) interview. She must have caught him off guard.
