He's been practicing with the team since the "incident" And Oregon coach Chip Kelly is considering removing the season long suspension.

I go back and forth on this one. Blount has had previous issues before, and Kelly would be going back on his word of a season long suspension. I believe in second chances though, and If he's allowed back it wouldn't really bother me. I think the exposure of the incident and the amount of coverage it got made things worse for Oregon's image, and for Blount.

He still should have held back and coupled with that and the actions after that, many thought a year suspension was fair, especially since he could have been charged with assault.

For oregon's sake, I think they've been playing better and their backup running back looks like a better player to me. Hat's off to them, they've really turned the season around.

I'm interested to know what you guys think about this.

To be honest I expected this when they first suspended him. I figured there was no way Kelly would end the kids college career over that. Make him think it's over, teach him a lesson, then reinstate him.

I'm on the fence if it's good or not in the end it basically teaches him he'll get away with stuff, but if they reinstate him now apparently he'd be 3rd string so they're going to make him earn his way back.

I remember reading somewhere shortly after the suspension that if Oregon didnt uphold their suspension the NCAA was going to step in. Ill see if I can find the article and post it, if not I was probably just imagining it.

He's back. That Stanford loss might have something to do with it.

Or the fact that Florida got away with suspending Spikes for only a half for a similarly despicable incident. Oregon overreacted, this kind of crap happens all the time on college football.
