The Orlando Magic are set to face the defending champion Boston Celtics in the opening round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs today at 12:30 p.m. on ABC.
The Magic defeated the Atlanta Hawks in the No. 7 vs. No. 8 matchup in the NBA Play-In tournament to secure their spot in the playoffs. Led by Paolo Banchero, the Magic overcame injuries to core players throughout the regular season and will look to push the champs in this series.
Despite only playing in 46 games during the regular season, Banchero posted a career-best 25.9 points per game this year. His play will guide the Magic as they try to counter a veteran Celtics squad.

Boston enters the matchup as the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference behind a 61-win season. They're led by Jayson Tatum who leads them in points (26.8), rebounds (8.7), and assists (6) per game.
They also boast 2024 NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Jaylen Brown, 6x All-Defensive team member Jrue Holiday and two-time All-Defensive team member Derrick White.
The Magic will counter with the pairing of Banchero and Franz Wagner. Wagner missed 22 games this season but still put up career-best numbers in points, rebounds and assists.
The duo will be competing in their second postseason together after pushing the Cavaliers to seven games last year.
In three meetings this season with the Celtics, the Magic won the series 2-1. They'll hope to keep those winning ways alive as the postseason series starts today.
