Sac State has some of the most beautiful women in the world... and some have no problems walking around in their underwear when a guy is in the room. :) :)

Out of idle curiosity, and not being America - could someone explain why so many seem to use the references - College and University - synonymously? I went to a degree granting college for my undergraduate degree and then to a university for my graduate. Is there something I'm missing?

A university has a number of colleges within it (college of business, college of fine arts, etc...). So, you could be enrolled in a college and a university simultaneously.

But, people don't make much of a distinction between the two when holding a conversation if they're enrolled at a university. I think they would if they were at a vocational, junior or someother sort of college, though.

 I know, Alan...you just gotta love coed dorms!!!

And I'm starting at an ALL GIRLS SCHOOL! Now, I'm 27, and I've told my friends it's time for me to get serious and find a nice, 'relationship' girl. Hmm...

I'm sorry, Arizona State University has the most beautiful women of any college or university in the country. We get all the best SoCal, Midwestern, and Texan girls. It's just a fact.

In a related matter, one of the most disturbing moments of my life was when my father told me that when he first came to the Valley (in the mid-seventies), the story going around was that you could be wandering the halls of Manzanita Hall (a towering dormatory just southeast of Sun Devil Stadium) and women would pull you into their rooms. This was during my first year at ASU, and I totally felt like a loser.

Damn.

I missed out on the whole dorm experience here at ASU, and I live with my girlfriend now, so it is definitely too late. :D

But it does look like it would have been fun..:(

I don't know, dorm life at ASU led to my "academic dismissal" ..... twice.

It took me moving back home with my parents to actually settle down and study. I was never "mature" enough to do it on my own.

When I was a freshman at U of A back in '85 I spent my first semester living in Sierra Hall. It was where you got sent if you applied late for housing, were a transfer etc. Not only was it all male, but it was actually under the football stadium! I lived in a room that had two rooms, one off the hall and one that faced the stadium parking lot. There were six of us and I lived in the room with no windows! Man, it sucked! On weekends I would usually sleep until noon or later because no one could tell if it was day or night. One time my roommate thought he had missed his final exam because when I told him it was 10:00 o'clock, he thought I meant in the A.M. and it was actually P.M. That was damn funny! He was almost in tears until I told him it was still night outside. :D

Since your a journalism major, perhaps you could take some photos and post them here. Just say you are doing an article on dorm life.

I waited a little too long to sign up for my dorm preference and I got stuck in Apache Santa Cruz, right across the street from the stadium dorms.

At least I didn't have to walk far to the football games. That place was a complete hole.
