Jeez, you have to hand it to Stoudemire. His whole family seems to have a bad luck cloud hanging over it, and yet he soldiers on. I admire his perseverance.

Wow. Thats the kid that Amare took into his own home while his mother was in jail. Feel really bad for Amare.

Amar'e has had an insanely tough personal/family life over the years, its amazing he has his head on straight as much as he does. He had red flags on him coming into the draft because people thought his upbringing might lead to issues...but for all the things you can knock him for he's certainly never been a knucklehead.

As much of a knuckle head as he can be, as a person he came out much better than most people would with his up bringing.

I never felt worse for Amare than when his mom granted that interview with the news (channel 12 I think) after her last arrest.
