I have 2k11, love it, great game. Saw the very positive reviews for 2k12 and am wondering if its worth the investment. Ive gotten suckered into too many sports game purchases that are basically just a roster update and I would rather have kept an old franchise going.

So, anyone have it? What do you think? And more specifically, did anyone have 2k11 and then get 2k12, does it blow 2k11 out of the water?

My brother has it and loves it.. He mainly just tries to do the michael jordan accomplishments/challenges.

The 2 player is quite BS.. I picked the suns and my brother picked the 93 bulls or 96 bulls.. Can't remember which one exactly but it was my very first time playing the game and he had months experience... I creamed him by 52 points. Almost every 3 pointer went in and Josh Childress did an Amare-esq facial over Jordan from the baseline.. The dunk was the sweetest thing I've seen but too fake and over the top.

I kept rubbing it in and he told me that apparently if you make 3-4 straight baskets and your team gets going they catch fire and can't really miss.. He couldn't even buy a bucket. Possibly because I set it to double team jordan everytime.. Not sure.

I ended up prefering 2k11 for various reasons. Its a lot easier to score in 2k12, when you learn how to do so, you basically can't miss.

On the other hand, the My Player mode is a lot more difficult because your AI teammates are worthless, and you get a lot less points for good plays, so its not uncommon to get a C- grade on an excellently played game. It's not the good kind of difficult, it gets really frustrating to play. They did adress some My Player bugs though.

On the plus sides, the graphics improved, and some animations seem to be smoother. Playing against a live opponent is as fun as it was in nba2k11, while playing against the computer is more frustrating, because the AI is horrible at guarding jumpshots, but brilliant in preventing dunks and such, so its not a lot of fun to play.

That's my opinion atleast. Also, maybe I didn't get into it that much because they didn't even include this years rookie class because of the lockout, but I've read that will be patched into the game soon.
I'd give nba2k11 9.5/10, and nba2k12 7/10
