Their offense hasn’t put up more than 19 points in the last five games and haven’t been over 17 points in four of those five…. I know Lamar is the darling of lots of posters around here is he a part of the problem or does it lay elsewhere?

I’m pretty sure I saw a post on here this week of somebody saying he still in the MVP race…

Lamar been awful for the past month. That’s his fault.

Damn near half of that team is on IR though. Might as well have you & I out there.

The issue is the Ravens have one of the lowest cap spaces on offense in the league. They have 65% of their money on defense but the defense is barely mediocre.

I can't blame Lamar when his team is in the bottom 5 on offensive spending.

Nick Boyle ( a random TE) is their highest paid offensive player at around 6 million

They have almost 40 million tied up in Calais, Marlon Humphrey, Brandon Williams, and Tavon Young.

They were successful 10 years ago with this model and have never evolved

They do have a ton of injuries, like a ridic amount, but they are going through a rough patch.

Was rooting for them for 2 reasons.

1. F*** the Steelers, always.
2. BB is close to getting CoY also and close to betting favorite, so placing higher seed than them helps K2, so other AFC teams need to pull ahead of them. Pls win Bills (x2).

Lamar has sucked out loud recently. He can't make throws that Kyler makes routinely. He's a running back that also sometimes chucks it downfield. He is in no way near Kyler for MVP. Not even close.
He often forgets his footwork, he shows his lack of pute passer. But he had little to no help as well. He doesn't have a run game, because all opponents now, sell on the run and see if Lamar can beat the Secondary. On a good day he can, on a normal day it seems he can on occasion and on a bad day he can't even if his life depends on it.

So that said, it is what it is with the Ravens, they will go to the playoffs, but will be done quite fast. Harbaugh has never had a great QB, Flacco looked great too for some years... but than he didn't anymore. I hope for Lamar that he can get better, but I'm not sold that he is already good enough to get with the team to the SB. Too many good D that can stop them too easily and like stated 18+ points most likely are enough so 2 TD and a FG is enough for OT, 2 TD and 2 FG or 6 FG on an average day is enough to win. And all other teams that are AFC contenders have even a adequate Rookie that can put that together against the Ravens D.

Clearly when the Ravens D can dominate a game, it looks different, but normally Mahomes, Tanehill+Henry, Josh Allen can achieve 2TD and 2 redzone drives. I even think that Burrow or Herbert with help from RB can achive that.
