Stupidity, mental illness and money is simply just not a good combination for any human being.

Sheesh dude just behave and listen. If it's something you didn't do stay quiet and make your case later, but he just ruined any kind of defense by resisting, seen people get tased for less lol

The arresting officer needs to be retrained. He used way too much restraint. That player is gone for awhile. Commish will be reviewing this one.

and his lawyer infers that the police were over the top ?

I think it was a female officer. I don’t think restraint was her problem at all. She progressed through the use of force pretty well. She needs to learn to use the radio without turning her head though. A motivated criminal would have blasted her in the mandible with the free shots she was giving him. JMO

I am fine with the restraint, the state should always move with caution in respect to the citizenry. Thats how freedoms are protected.

Once again people talking about something they don't have all the facts, at least that I have seen and read on here. I haven't read except for speculation what started the confrontation.

In any instance the suspect resisted arrest from what I saw. From what I understand, there is a progression to use force, starting with verbal commands, then escalating towards physical force, then on to as a last resort deadly force. Not saying the officer was right, but there was verbal and a physical attempt to arrest, and he still resisted.

Looked like the officer drew his gun when the suspect opened his door and tried to get in the vehicle or possibly might have been reaching for something? A gun? A knife? Or nothing? The officer doesn't know.

If people would understand that the side of the road is not the place to resist. It can lead to deadly situations. It can possibly make the officer judge, jury, and executioner.

I did not see the officer do anything wrong and, in fact, he probably should have used force (pepper spray, taser, or a take down).

My opinion.

There seems to be a lot of ifs in the video as well as questions. What was the ongoing conversation and why did Breeland keep trying to point over at some one? Who was the women who came into the video at a couple of different points. Was she witness to something? Could the officer have at least listened to what had to be said first? I think Breeland's big mistake was getting into his vehicle, kind of a dumb move on his part. He surely indicated that his intent was to drive off. Speedy was right, the officer left herself wide open to get slugged more than once, I thought the same thing as I watched the video. Probably not a lot of experience there. Should the officer have just held Breeland there until backup came? It may have resulted in heads cooling down a bit waiting for the backup. I assume more details will come out as time passes.

Being a cop sounds like the worst job ever. You follow your training and it’s seen as going overboard. You under react and you put yourself and other at risk. You get the nut jobs that make the good cops look like enemy. Idk how they do it.
