No use in spitting venom at Quan IMO. It was tough seeing how a great player & for most accounts a good dude ended his career in AZ. Hopefully his anger towards the organization ends at some point so he can rightfully take his place in the rafters of UoP!!!

I didn't care for what our coach did and front office. Now I know he wanted out when the s--t hit the fan. A great player, a tough man and greatly hurt how it went down. It was a bad time for both player and team.

One of the toughest WRs to ever play the game and I still have his jersey which I cherish when he was still the 'Q'... then he died after the NFL championship game and became the player "Me, myself and I"

A few years ago, I would have thought this was crazy talk... but I have to admit, I kind of agree.

He was a GREAT player for us while here, but with the way he left... I think he cost himself his legacy.

Aeneas, ADub, Dockett... all guys that sacrificed bigger paydays elsewhere to remain here, which I think is part of the formula the team uses in choosing such players for this distinction. I expect all three to make our ring of honor. (Obviously Aeneas is already there and Larry is a shoe-in.)

+1

Although this is a new opinion for me. I think some of it is that until reciently there were so few candidates for the ROH my standards were lower.

I still like Bolden. Not a fan of how you turned into a cry baby that day, but man is he still a good player. I wouldn't mind him coming back and playing for the Cards, but that will never happen. Who do you think he was upset with the most, Whiz or Bidwills?

I'm a little jealous/envious of those who can flip the switch and say Q is dead to them. It's far more complicated for me since he was SUCH A BEAST with the Cards and a reason for hope that a change was taking place within the organization.

He was and is a GAM and we drafted him. He ran through and over many a D and set all kinds of NFL rookie records and we drafted him.

He had a blow up during the NFC championship game with Haley (obviously a jerk wad at times himself) and after years of helping change the culture of the SOC's culture was minimalized during the Cards greatest accomplishment to date, a NFC championship game in which we actually won the game. Q had done a ton of heavy lifting to help us get there and Haley had him on the sidelines with the game on the line.

I'm not saying Haley was wrong but he has a history of pi$$ing players off. So Q broke my heart with how he handled the situation because he was Johnny Cardinal for me when this happened. Q made a huge mistake and his ultra competiveness and pride lead him down the wrong path in this instance. This is far less egregious then DWaste or Old Abe IMO but still a negative.

Bottom line for me is that Q didn't have a long enough career with the Cards (partly his fault) to be considered for the ROH. I will say that I could be swayed to change my mind because Q was and is a GAM.
