Cam Newton Scolds Women 'Who Can't Cook,' 'Don't Know When To Be Quiet'

Quarterback Cam Newton, the former NFL MVP whose return to the Carolina Panthers went south last season, is still playing for Team Clueless when it comes to his thoughts on women. (Watch the video below.)

In a recent podcast, Newton griped about women who can’t cook, don’t know when to stop talking and can’t cater to a man’s needs. In 2022. In a public forum.

Newton was praising the example set by his parents on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast Sunday when he veered into sexist territory.

The free-agent player held forth on his definition of a “bad bitch.” He emphasized that he says “******* in a way not to degrade a woman,” but to play off “what they deem is a boss chick.”

“A woman for me is handling your own, but knowing how to cater to a man’s needs,” he continued.

Women brag about being a “boss bitch,” he said, “but you can’t cook. You don’t know when to be quiet. You don’t know how to allow a man to lead.”

Honestly I know what he is trying to say.

Yup. Everyone's gotta be in everyone's business nowadays. Is what it is in the social media age I suppose.
I always tell my son, character counts.
These owners pay these guys millions of dollars cause of their athletic ability. I wish they took character into account more often. They let sexists, racists, bigots, abusers and the like play because they care more about money than character.
Being able to have a career playing a game should be a privilege, not a right.
Unfortunately, that’s not the case.

So do I tn. He just totally botched it. He can't get out of his own way, but at the end of the day he's saying in this instagram, social media, Cardi B, and Meg the Stallion idolatry age we're in, basic couth, and class are severely lacking. I agree with him, but not the way he phrased it.

I get what you’re saying but it’s a cash machine so why would they class it up? I think a lot of it is an act. The problem with what Cam said is that he’s not enhancing his brand and making more money with his sexist comments, so that means he’s saying it because he truly believes it.

One part of me thinks “who cares, Cam is an irrelevant clown, let him believe what he wants.”. But another part of me thinks “there are kids out there that listen to him, and this could impact how they view women”.

Ugh, I hate how much people give air time to every single freaking word everyone has to say.

I agree with you on your main complaint. I just think he was totally ham handed in how he conveyed his thoughts. Sometimes speaking on non football issues isn't for everyone. He's no dummy, just maybe not the best orator. LOL.
