More fun fallout from the preseason

The shoulder injury that has sidelined Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson since August 17 is apparently more serious than Ocho Cinco has let on.
Although the injury has been described as a sprained shoulder, Adam Schefter of NFL Network reported today that in reality, Johnson has a torn labrum in his shoulder. If Johnson decided to have surgery to repair the injury, it would end his season.

But Johnson’s current plan is to forego the surgery until after the season and play through the injury, and he expects to be on the field on September 7 when the Bengals open the season at Baltimore.
For his part, Johnson claims that his shoulder is doing fine. He told Bengals.com today, “I’m lifting my normal weight. I do everything normal now. Everything. It’s been what? Eight days? I’m back to normal.

Johnson hasn’t been back on the field, but it looks like he will be in less than two weeks.
The inside sources all seem to confirm this. He wants to play and isn't treating it as seriously as it should be. I wonder if he plays through it, will he do even more damage and end his career?

If he were to injury it further, I'm not sure if it could be career ending.

Then again, I'm not a doctor. ;)

Whiz created this mess.

:D

From what I hear, he won't make it much worse, he just will need the surgery eventually.

Maybe we can trade Leinart to the Bengals so he can convert to WR. A la McCown.

I have a source who talked to Ocho Sinko, and he said "normal" for Chad is pretty messed up.

I hate to burst your bubble, but Mr. Hyman was on vacation in West Vagina.

Yes, but in a press release he issued prior to the trip, he reports that Chad felt his cherry pop as he landed on the ground after a pass attempt.

Word is that Rudi is on the trading block and the Bengals are looking for a receiver. If so, Chad is probably done for the year
