We are thrilled to announce that the Broncos have agreed to terms on a new four-year contract with cornerback Champ Bailey.

I know he was on some peoples wish list in FA. Smart move by them.

This is also good news fot he Cardinals...

IMO, Denver was the most likely scenerio for Patrick Peterson, now I think they pass, and this means if Buffalo does indeed select Newton, Peterson is ours for the taking..

I think Miller is more likely than Newton but regardless. This is good news.

It's still a possibility they grab Peterson, as Bailey could end up calling it a career in a year or two. Still have to have a replacement lined up.

If Peterson fell to us, I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to taking him, though I would still prefer a pass rusher, as I feel we can still find higher quality CBs in the second round than we can OLBs.

I was listening to Gil Brandt on the NFL Network on Sirius the other night and he was talking about how he groups players to draft slots...1-10, 11-20, 21-30 and so on. Someone asked a question about Houston from Georgia and Brandt said he had him out of the 1st round in the 31-40 range. Wouldn't it be the perfect draft if the Cards could snag Peterson in the 1st and Houston in the 2nd?

I think the smartest thing the donkeys could do now is draft Peterson. Let this uber-talented kid learn from a consummate pro in Bailey.

:barf:

Physical press corners not named Charles Woodson stink in today's NFL. He will be a huge bust.

Woodson Succeded with that style of play because he could also run. Most press corners can't run with recievers. Peterson can.

If we snagged Peterson then Houston, I would personally kiss every man in the front office, and I'm the straightest man in the world.

Imagine if we added to that by grabbing Nate Irving or Kelvin Sheppard in the third round. Instantly improved defense in one weekend.

Completely disagree. He is a safety that will spend 3 years sucking at corner (especially on a team with zero pass rush) before he gets moved to his appropriate position.
