That will affect me, too, eventually. Direct has been broadcasting almost every game so far. Interestingly, I called Direct a couple of times and asked them about the Suns broadcast plans. No one I talked to had any idea - they looked at the same shedule I did, which is only a couple of weeks in advance.

I was going to get sling but no need now

:)

Sling is month to month and Amazon only put in a bid. Even if they win, it'll like take a year or two before any changes are made. Sling may also have a contract with the regionals that will allow them to continue to air the content well into the future.

Exactly.

How many guys out there are still paying $100 a month for Cox or DirecTV so they can watch FoxAZ?

I pay for DirectTV for Sunday ticket. But I can’t seem to get FoxAZ for some reason.

I have Sling with FozAz, NFL Network, Redzone, six PAC 12 stations and more for under $40.

another example of Amazon monopolization
they will outbid everyone else
-- because they can
(cash from being the middle-man for most internet purchases, squeezing merchants and copying their best selling products, government subsidies, NY paying 1.5 billion to host them, underpaying employees, etc.)

in the short term, they squash competing content providers like SlingTV.
they'll offer the sports programs free at first
and eventually charge you more than you're paying now
-- because they can

and we won't complain because we like free shipping and bossing Alexa around

I want a handle for my slot machine... I mean television. :p
I have been an annual visitor to various hotels in Las Vegas under the Caesars Entertainment banner for many years.

Namely, the Paris Las Vegas and Caesars Palace. They also own Bally's. Las Vegas Planet Hollywood, Rio and Harrah's.
My second wife and I were married at Bally's. So, it is nostalgic to see the Bally's name replacing Fox Sports Arizona.

BTW, I never gambled. I went for the ambiance, the buffets and the shows.

My favorite hotel on the Strip is the Paris Las Vegas, with a view of their Eiffel Tower (half the height of the original)
and the Fountains of Bellagio from the hotel room.

It sounds like the way you do it is the best way to do it. The shows make it worthwhile.

I haven't been to Las Vegas in many years. It's changed from the days I remember it. I liked it when there were a lot of small casinos. Now in the days of COVID-19 it has even less attraction.

The small casinos were replaced by slot machines everywhere you go. Im blown away every time I visit and see slots in gas stations and grocery stores. Not just that you can gamble there but most of the time those machines are full also.

The attraction is mostly gone for me. I used to enjoy all the freebies at the small casinos especially great food for little or nothing.

I haven't been in a few years. Once I quit drinking it lost its appeal. I've been there sober but its not nearly the same. I can gamble on the reservations here in AZ if I really get the itch but outside of betting on sports I'm not a big fan of gambling. I like betting on sports though to add some personal investment.

Been to Vegas many times for baseball tournaments with one of my sons. One night I drove them down the strip to see the lights. It was bumper to bumper. Some how we ended up behind a mobile billboard with a picture of 5 girls each wearing a thong. My youngest was 7 at the time and climbed up and stuck his head out of the sun roof and yelled “it’s Vegas baby”. All the cars started honking their horns. Funny moment I will never forget.

The app on my Roku was updated today. New look, but the old app was simpler. The Bally's app has ads now, lame.

Trying to rewatch the 2nd half on lunch. Every time i fast forward an add pops up now.
