Good, now we have a shot at Hasselbeck. His back scares me, but other than that I've always thought he was a good QB on any given sunday (and most of them). He's got what you need in a qb, and is a proven commodity. If favre would have retired 10 years ago, this guy would have done the packers well. I would prefer getting two veterans.
Hasselbeck or Orton. I wouldn't mind both, with Skelton as 3rd. If the udfa makes the ps fine.
Kolb has a decent shot at being average imo, but Hasselbeck will be released meaning we don't give up a pick or a player, and when any QB you get being a crapshoot at this point (more so then other times), I'd rather not be betting big money on anyone available.
If we pay big money to a PM or TB that's one thing, paying big money to Kolb and giving up picks and/or players, or risking him leaving and losing those picks/players for a 1 year rent a player doesn't strike me as very good.
We have other options than Kolb. These other options have just as good a shot at being as good or better over the next year or two, with very low risk. I don't see a guy out there worth the risk in cap space, players, and draft picks to roll the dice. Kolb's not the guy I want to bet we get a homerun from. I'd rather settle for a double, and pick a guy who has a good shot at attaining that at perhaps 1/5th-1/10th the money and not give up players/picks.
...and the seahawks got TJ lol. He shows flashes, but he can also play really bad at times. I sure hope they paid alot for him.
