OT infeild fly rule bad call

I think it was a horrible call but i am not sure it cost them the game. Intead of bases loaded one out second and third two outs. thoughts.

That was a bad call because the infield fly rule covers an easy popup that a fielder might intentionally drop to turn one out into two.

In this case, it was a blooper being chased by an infielder and outfielder. The batter shouldn't have been called an automatic out. It wasn't even a question of umpire's judgement. It was obvious. Other cases might not be so obvious.

yea its not like they were trying to let the ball fall to turn a double play. the ball was in the outfield and not even sure they wouldve had a chance a a DP.

It was a horrible call. But I am also not in favor of a rule that allows a team to make up 6 games in the standings by winning a single "playoff" game. This new wild card playoff game makes it too easy for teams that otherwise would not be in playoffs to advance to division series.
