As much as I hate Jones, he has a long way to go to reach Al Davis' level. Jones is a lot more business savvy. If you want a Davis style owner, look no further than Daniel Snyder.

Jerry Jones is the Jerry Jones of the NFL...which makes me smile because he is currently screwing up an NFL team I despise :)

I agree with you there. I often say that he is my favorite nfl owner because he was able to do what nobody else could. Stop the cowboys from winning.

But in all reality he seems to slowly be losing his grip on reality. The same way Al did all those years ago.

Davis, in his prime, knew football. He just got old and wouldn't step down. Jerry Jones knows how to market a product, but knows very little about FB. JMO.

Pretty much agree.

Davis got old and wouldn't change and evolve.

JJ knows more about FB than most fans but not nearly enough to be a GM.

A reporter from Dallas said JJ is too loyal for his own good.

As others have stated, I love JJ being the owner of the Cowboys because he has them losing far more than they ever have.

Anyone that thinks Jones compares to Al Davis must not have been alive all that long. Al Davis was one of the sharpest minds in football at one time. Jones has never been that.

Unfortunately, Davis didn't know when to let go. So I guess that is the one thing they have in common!
