Reportedly, Houston offered the team Roy Oswalt, Adam Everett and another player for Miguel Tejada, but Baltimore "turned the deal down".

With as pathetic as Baltimore's pitching staff is, getting someone like Oswalt would be a HUGE coup. Nevermind the fact that they'd get a slick SS replacement and another player.

If there's any question why the Orioles are garbage, it's rejecting deals like this. Tejada's an awesome bat, but there's not going to be a better offer on the table that fits Baltimore's needs better than this one.

I really wonder about that team.

Isn't the other player Morgan Ensberg? If so, shame on the Orioles.

Also, another rumor is the Mets were offer Lastings Milledge to Baltimore if they got Roy Oswalt.

Orioles, Philllies, Pirates, Dodgers, Giants, Nationals - there's plenty of jackasses around front offices in baseball.

If it WAS Ensberg, it makes them even more ******** for turning down the deal.

Well doesen't Oswalt's contract run out after the season? And I heard that it was Houston that cancelled the trade because they thought the Orioles were going to take Oswalt and trade him to the Cardinals or the Rangers...

Oswalt is a free agent at the end of the 2007 season.

Yes the Orioles are incompetent, but I think they wanted to unload Tejada for prospects rather than taking on more salary.

Roy Oswalt - $11,000,000
Morgan Ensberg - $3,800,000
Adam Everett - $1,900,000

Miguel Tejada - $11,811,546

Ok, so ignoring that deal because of Oswalt's pending free agency, why turn down a deal of Ervin Santana, Erick Aybar and Mike Napoli?

Again... Bad decision making by the O's

Can't argue with that.
