Cowboys are projected to be at least a league-leading $31 million over the salary cap next season. The Cowboys will face what one NFL executive called "a train wreck" in terms of their salary-cap issues.

Dallas' messy salary-cap situation got even messier this week when the Cowboys released former Pro Bowl defensive tackle Jay Ratliff, who will count for almost $7 million against the cap in 2014.
Dallas likely will be forced to cut more players and slash contracts in an effort just to get back to the salary cap, especially after giving lucrative extensions to quarterback Tony Romo, linebacker Sean Lee, tight end Jason Witten and wide receiver Miles Austin.

Even Rod Graves is better at managing a payroll than Jerry...

If they cut Miles Austin, would the Cards be interested? Can't seem to stay healthy, but is a speed guy.

They should trade Tony Romo to free up some money, so they can sign more overpriced free agents.

I fail to see how Rod Graves is any better. His free agent signings were horrific.

What ?

Name 20, I dare you.

And don't give me Terrance Holt, that guy was a tremendous talent.

There aren't too many Miles left in Austin: no thanks.

Kim Yoko Kardashian struck again. Anybody she dated their career went South. Notice how much better Reggie Bush was after dumping her.

Austin actually has no signing bonus. The Cowboys would save 5.5m in 2014 by trading him. I doubt they'd cut him outright since he has value and his contract really isn't that bad for another team.

Other cut/trade candidates: DB Brandon Carr, OT Doug Free, QB Kyle Orton, DB Orlando Scandrick

Demarcus Ware can be restructured/extended to save them 5-10 million depending on how creative they are.

They can't really do anything with Romo except convert salary into bonus to try to spread it out.
