I never, ever listen to the crap that comes out of former players mouths. Badger's especially considering we extended him when injured with good guarantees. Paid him top money at the time. Asked him to take a pay cut more in line with his performance (which wasn't great) and then he took less than that pay cut on the open market anyway proving our offer was fair.

You're never going to get an unbiased opinion from a guy that was essentially let go.

Maybe KC wised up.

Giving big money to safety's is not good team management. Their impact is really not that big compared to most other players on the field.

I’ll never forget how good he was as a cardinal pre injury, he was electric. Been sour on ever since he left, not surprised to see him pulling this again

Prior to his injury, he was the best form tackler I have ever seen... then, he was just a pinball machine bouncing off tacklers lacking Budda's force

I'd rather have Badger than Budda, and I don't think it's that close.

Badger has never approached how good he was in early in his career.

Baker is better than him now, but he's not as good as Badger was at his pinnacle.
Matthieu was really close of being the best defender in the nfl
Beside of that, i would never extend a safety with those fat salaries
I mean budda baker probably deserve it but i prefer using the money elsewhere

I

Then I think the Cards, Texans and Chiefs do not have your sense of measurement
You're using the Cardinals as a symbol of good judgement? Texans too?

I think the Chiefs are pretty happy with what they got from HB, and would gladly pay him if they didn't have other serious contracts to deal with.

So he's just making pro bowls based on reputation?

Baker is better based on what? Budda is the most overrated player in Cards history, and I don't think it's particularly close.

There were lots of fingers pointed at why the team failed yet very little criticism for Budda. He was mostly invisible in the second half of the year outside of when he was missing tackles.

Hell, Budda wasn't even the best safety on the team last year!

Tyrann is in it for his best interest. If you want his autograph, be ready to pay for it, and have cash on hand to do so. His buddies will collect the money, and then you can ask for his autograph.

It’s all about business to him. It’s that simple. I don’t think it necessarily makes him a bad guy, but he is all about maximizing his income.

I’m a contractor (just as everyone in the NFL is). When I’m on contract with company abc, I will wear their shirts, support their shield, act as one of them. The minute they eff me over, I stop all the nice guy b$ and just follow the bare language in the contract/our agreement. If they are really bending me over, I will walk off with hours warning and tell them to eff off. I have zero tolerance.

Sorry, but it seems to me this organization has a long history of pissing people off. Many made fun of the fact Tyrann made less in his first season or 2 after leaving the cardinals, than he would have made by staying here. I doubt he is so stupid he can’t count; rather I think he has his own rules, and isn’t afraid to work for less if he was eff’d over.

I personally don’t think much of Tyrann, but I’m not going to hate him for taking care of himself first and foremost.

Ive seen them both play.

The defense wasn't the issue last year for the most part.
