Kind of a dishwater little article but one line was a stunner.

This sort of height is so rare that a full 17% of 7-foot-tall American males aged 20 to 40 play in the NBA, according to David Epstein's book "The Sports Gene."

Thats ridiculous. 17%, one in 6 men over that height and in the right age range play in the NBA. Somewhere a 6'11" guy who struggles to afford pants that fit read that and let out a deep sigh.

That's stunning. Obviously, we all knew that being very tall was a real plus if you wanted an NBA career but this is almost beyond belief.
