Mods. Please move to a better section if need be.

Anyone else watching this series on the NFL network.

They went through 100-91 in the first episode. Interesting to see Joe Namath make the top 100. Sam Huff being in the ninties ? Too low.

Highlight of first episode is John Randle talking about Larry Allen.

Rugby, it was a great show. Ten weeks of this, wow!!! Michael Irvin a top 100 player of all-time? I don't think so.

Who do feel from the Cards will make the list? Mine are: Larry Wilson (Mr Cardinal), Warner, Night Train Lane & possibly Ollie Matson.

Anybody remember Dave Meggegesy talking about Sam Huff? Said he was soft.Of course the New York media helped Huff become better than he was.

Sad that 3 of those 4 guys spent more years on other teams than they did the Cards.

I'd be more inclined to include Aeneas Williams, 8 time pro bowl 3 times first team all pro despite playing on some awful football teams, with Larry Wilson.

Good show!

I think having Warner in the top 100 is debatable. He isn't a top 5 QB of all time, even top 10 is debatable. You shouldn't have more than 10 or so from each position. I'm curious to see which QB's are ranked above him and ones that are missing from the list.

I grew up watching Namath. After the SB and yr. after he played on some VERY BAD teams. He could throw like the dickens though, with deadly accuracy long and With zip. He more than anyone elseassured the merger of the two leagues by his flamboyant success and brashness.

He and John Hadl were the two elite QB's of the AFL.

Not sure. Depending on the day, mine would be either Montana, Rice, or Sanders.

It'd be hard to name the best player. By position it's a little easier.

QB- Montana
RB - Payton/Sanders
WR- Rice
TE- Winslow Sr.
OL- Yary
DL - White
MLB- Lambert
OLB- Ham
CB- Blount or Mike Haynes
ST's- Hester
K- Stenerud
P- Guy

I think it will be Jerry Rice, but my personal pick would be Lawrence Taylor. The Skins, Boys & Iggles drafted specifically to stop LT. #56 dominated offenses like no other single player ever has & ever will again in his prime. The 3-4 OLB became the rage because of his domination. Greatest player ever IMO...LT!!!

My top 5
1) LT
2) Rice
3) Montana
4) Sanders
5) Jim Brown

Otto Graham is the best player to ever play football. His accomplishments are unmatched. In 10 seasons, he took his team to the championship game all 10 times. 7 titles in those 10 championship games. His career record of 57-13-1, .810 winning percentage, is the highest in NFL history. His career passer rating was 86.6.

When you're talking about winners, there's no one else even close.

Cleveland Browns (1946-1955), Washington Redskins (1966-1968)

He was good but you only had to win 5 games to be champs back then.

And much easier to do when most of his titles came when there were basically 10 teams. A good selection who will probably be in the top 5.

Besides Cardinal fans don't like to talk about the 1950s. The Cards were 33-84-3. :(

They definitely were the keystone cops of that era!!! Many of the clips back in that day show them pitching & throwing the ball all over the field just to make a play.

But we were 67-63-8 in the 1960s. :D

Strange but true. Charley Winner's teams played to a tie once every year he was HC.
