Duke basketball routinely puts players in the NBA.. But they dont amount to jack for the most part.. So what your telling me Stout is your a man of quantity over quality.. Thanks to Penn St for infesting the NFL with garbage.. :D

Few schools can compare with the players who came from my beloved Syracuse.

We had the best RB ever in Jim Brown as well as the best TE ever in John Mackey, two of the best WRs of all time in Art Monk and Marvin Harrison and the best kicker of all time in Gary Anderson. Larry Csonka and Ringo were no slouches either. I dont think any school can say that they had three RBs like Brown, Davis and Csonka. McNabb is a future HOFer too.

Our teams have been horrible since Vick tore up his committment but I think we are on the way back with Marone leading the pack.

I could keep going...

We're going to mention busts, let's look at the other side of that spectrum.

There's no such thing as a "bust factory". Every school has players who don't pan out on the NFL level.
Jim Brown
Ernie Davis
Larry Csonka
Al Davis
Jim Ringo
John Mackey
Art Monk
Marvin Harrison
Donovan McNabb
Dwight Freeny
Adam Terry
Chris Gedney
Kevin Abrams
Joe Morris
Gary Anderson
Tim Green
Rob Moore
Floyd Little
Gary Bugenhagen
Art Thomas
Joe Erhman
Bill Hurley
Craig Wolfley
Keith Bullock
Donovin Darius
Tebucky Jones
Rob Burnett
Will Allen
James Mungro
Kevin Johnson
Rob Konrad

I am probably forgotting about 50 others, but the list goes on and on. Penn Sate cannot hold the 'Cuse's jock. :)

Yeah, I cant dispute that one. I'm not trying to say we're the best ever, just that we've put a ton of great players out there.

I actually watched the show and could not disagree with most of it. Didn't catch who they listed #1 but my guess is USC, Nebraska or Oklahoma. Most likely USC, leaving the Huskers and Sooners completely out of the top ten.

Miami at #2 is good too even though all of their success is in the last 25 years. Penn St richly deserved their ranking. So too did Syracuse and Alabama and Tennesee. My gawd, the list of Tennessee WRs and defensive linemen was impressive.

Remember, this is an all-time list and some of the programs are in decline right now. Disagreed with lumping in the MAC cnference as top ten when all other schools had to stand on their own.

Thanks for alerting us to this, Stout. It was quite a nice trip down memory lane.

THE Ohio State University has to be right at the top. I would start listing them but i don't want to take up all the message board space.

I'm a huge 'Cuse fan as well md. More basketball than football, but I loved watching Donovan McNabb and Bullock in the Carrier Dome as a kid.

If I recall, neither Texas nor Ohio State was in their top ten of all time. No subjective list is perfect and this one was slanted to count heavily on the number of all-pro, hall of fame, and impact NFL players produced by each school.

Ohio State was in there, along with Michigan. I don't think Texas was.
