I'm not sure what to make of it. Not only is Talib insisting the eye poke was not intentional, he's apparently convinced his coach who outright said after talking to him I'm convinced it was not intentional. Talib will appeal the suspension.

If that wasn't intentional someone took over control of his body for about 5 seconds there and made him poke Dwayne Allen in the eye.

Good. I said during the broadcast he should be suspended.

Such a stupid play. Not sure how I feel about the coach going to the mat for him like that. Its honorable, and it protects the team, as they need him in the backfield, but for the love of god its smarmy as hell.

Exactly. It's one thing to back your player but unless Talib's mind was taken over by Spock that was an intentional eye poke so for Kubiak to say after talking to him he believes it wasn't intentional is mind boggling. I can see saying other than when he's shooting guns at people he's not a bad guy, but saying that wasn't intentional is sure hard to believe.

During the game the way Talib was arguing I assumed he was saying someone else had done it first, to him presumably, and he retaliated but now he's saying it wasn't intentional at all which sure doesn't agree with the video.

It's mostly Allen's fault.. everyone knows is that situation you need to stick your fingers up vertically against your nose.

I think he trying to argue that the guy who got poked went all WWE and played it up and acted it up. Stupid argument. ANd then...THEN he doubles down on it after the game. I love me some Broncos, but man these guys can be complete idiots sometimes.

Heat of battle, I acted like an ass, I apologize, Ill take my suspension and we can all move on. Is that so hard to do? Now he's taking his coach down that path.

Oh well this explains everything I clearly owe Talib a big apology.... not.

"From my angle, I see (Allen) head-butt Von (Miller) a little bit," Talib said after the game via the Denver Post. "I went over to poke his head, and I think my hand slipped and hit his face. He acted like he got in an 18-passenger car wreck. I guess that's what type of guy he is."

So he not only slipped but it's Allen's fault for acting like he was a professional soccer player taking a dive.

Why "poke his head", if you're standing up for your teammate you're going to push the guy or headbutt him back, not poke him in the head. I mean this is Talib we're talking about he might very well have pistol whipped him and shot at him. Remember the reason Talib got cleared of that by a Texas court was NOT because they didn't believe he did it, but because the victim was in jail on child molestation charges with a past history of similar charges and the DA in Talib's case decided the victim would not make a credible witness so they dropped the charges. Talib had a prior incident with a cab driver where he settled out of court paying the cab driver to drop the charges.

He's done court ordered anger management twice in the past.

Sounds like he needs some more after the eye poke.

He already admitted he went over there to poke him, where the poke landed is a risk that goes along with his actions. He won't win the appeal.
