The New England Patriots has acquired wide receiver Chad Ochocinco after he accepted a restructured three-year contract from the Patriots, a source said. Terms of the trade weren't known. Ochocinco was seen catching a plane to Boston on Thursday. He was scheduled to make $6.35 million for the Bengals this year. The Patriots wanted him to restructure his contract to fit their cap.

Interesting. Would love to see these moves blow up in their face.

Now maybe Palmer comes out of retirement. I think he really hated Chad & his ways, which IMO was a bigger problem than just playing for the Bungles.

I think his issues were with the whole situation. Plus, I doubt he comes of retirement since Mike Brown pretty much said "I don't care what you want, Carson."

I really think it's just purely a pissing contest between Palmer and Brown at this point. I will be amazed if they ever decide to work together again, regardless of who they trade.

I thought Brown wouldn't trade a player who wanted out of Cincy? Ocho may not have been vocal about still wanting to leave, but he still wanted out. So Brown trades him to the best possible situation for Ocho?

As bad as it gets, I think most fans are very thankful to not be Bengals fans.

yup.

Haynesworth and Ocho will be great for a year and the Pats will be able to ride them deep in the playoffs.

they both will be jettisoned and the Pats will reload.

I don't know. The Jets pull of Asomugha...Peyton still looms...Pittsburgh tough....Baltimore tough.

Just glad we don't play in the AFC.

Exactly... AFC is crazy tough! I still like the Pats chances... just Brady and Belickeck alone gives them an edge. But, adding Haynesworth and Ocho Cinco could be a serious turbo boost...

A retread like OchoStinko will push the Pats to the top? They still haven't done much to find a good pass rusher.
