Kind of blowing up their defense. They don't need the cap room, do they?
Ogletree is big $$$$ due and not really worth the $$$$. $ 33 million left on contract. Got a 4th and a 6th. Just a blown up safety playing LB.
Jeff Fisher's foot soldiers must not fit Wade's.They have given up two of their 4 highest salaries, and for fringe defensive players who aren't great scheme fits. They are cleaning up the franchise to fit Donald's big number. IT is better than waiting for those players to be worthless, and then the only thing you get by cutting them is dead money. (ie Bucannon, Veldheer, Iupati, Mathieu, ect.)

This must be a joke or you're just piling on the Cards for some hidden agenda. IMO only one of those player fall into that category. Buc has no dead cap hit, Veldheer has a so-so dead cap but has earn his contract, and HB was just a bad contract from the start they didn't wait too long on him it was over when it was signed.
We cut Veldheer = dead cap hit
We cut Iupati = dead cap hit
We cut Mathieu = dead cap hit
Yes, if we cut Bucannon, no dead cap hit. Way to pick out the one where we don't get hit.
In the end, we don't receive any picks back, and are stuck with dead money.
It is not an agenda. I am calling it what it is. While we are cutting players who no longer fit what we do, the Rams are trading their's so they get something back for them. It doesn't mean they were bad signings. It doesn't mean they didn't help our team. But reality is we aren't getting anything back for these players and the Rams are.
