Sean Payton said it will take a lot to get Brandin Cooks. Sources say they still want quality defensive starter, plus draft picks over 2 yrs

Then BB comes in with his Jedi mind trick. Suddenly Payton agrees to swap Cooks for Butler and throws in New Orleans first round picks for the next two years. LOL. Watch it will happen.

I would not make this trade as New England straight up, let alone including picks.

If Cooks is on the table, we should be on the phone.

I think the idea is that Cooks is going to command $$$ at the end of his contract, and the Saints aren't going to keep him. Neither will Pats. Pats are in permanent one and done mode until Brady retires.

Saints are really high on Michael Thomas, too.

TRADE! The Patriots have traded their #32 & 3rd #103 pick to the Saints for wide receiver Brandin Cooks & their 4th #118 pick per sources
Seriously just hand these guys the trophy now unreal what they can pull off and they always get pics back in the process too

Well I guess one good thing is they won't be selecting this year til the end of the 3rd round.

These guys grabbed Kony Ealy earlier today a really promising young DE and Now Brandon Cooks... They always nab extra picks coming back to then in every deal they do it seems. I have long been a patriot admirer that is no secret I enjoy watching the product they put on the field. But this borders on ridiculous.. The other31 teams should get together and commit to not doing any business with the Pats... Pretty much blac ball them... The rich only get richer and it certainly doesn't benefit the other teams in the league IMO....

:scratcheshead:

He was already a keeper

I guess it depends on your league and keeper rules TBH. I have had Cooks the last couple years and he was not consistent week to week. Very boom or bust. I guess there could be the same issue with Brady and how he likes to spread the ball around as well.

don't forget signing Stephen Gilmore, a Pro-Bowl CB.

People need to stop saying "what would the Patriots do" in comparison to us. NO TEAM in ANY SPORT at this point can be compared to how that organization is run.
