LOL So much for the notion that they are the most loyal fans. I have left a game on my own exactly once and that was during the Jets debacle in 2008 mostly because it was pouring rain at times but I'm against leaving games early only because you might miss something but I would never leave a playoff game under any circumstances. These people are going to live with that regret for years.

especially a championship game. Not only did I stay for our whole game, I stayed for the celebrations afterward too.

Just goes to show that the vaunted "12th Man" are just a bunch of front-running frauds. I've never left ANY game early, let alone a championship game!

I hope the Patriots beat the snot out of them in our house, like the Packers did for 54:38 yesterday.

I think that topic is being over blown. It would have happened here to and probably any other stadium for that matter. There will always be a few hundred that try to beat traffic.

I've spent an hour in my car after getting in my car just waiting to get out of the lots at some games that come down to the wire. However, I know the tricks to getting out now fairly quickly now.

If you plan on leaving early to "beat the traffic", then you should really just save your money & watch the game at home. Otherwise, why waste the $$ on a ticket to game where you miss the ending?

Sorry. IMHO, leaving early is beyond LAME-O!

I believe in one of the last game threads after you chastised all of the b.s. fans on this board for a couple of weeks that you claimed you were turning off the game and were no longer going to watch.

Easy to say if you don't actually go to the games. I reckon the drive from NJ to AZ each week is long enough so you probably want to wait as long as you can at the stadium for traffic to die down, right. ;)

To each their own.

I only left early when it was a clear jackstomping one way or another. And for clear, it usually had to be by 3-4 touchdowns as I knew anything could happen in cardinal land.

If anything I used to walk up to where the beer vendors are for the final 2 minutes and watch from there so I can get outside before the majority of people.

I left at halftime in the game against Carolina in 2009. It was the only game I took my wife to that season. We were down 28-7 and my wife was complaining incessantly about the stadium conditions and the game. Between that and the game, I decided to leave and used the score as an excuse.

The 12th man was pretty much silent for almost the entire game.

Then when they woke up they were interfering with the offense.

Probably the only thing we heard for most of the game was the fake crowd noise they pump in.

I never leave early.. I figure suffering through the losses will make me appreciate the wins that much more!

I wasn't there live now was I. And the game you were referring to was the Seattle game in week 16. After the Lynch run it was just too painful to watch. However, when I'm at a game live, I stay until the end. I credit my brother for this as he made us miss a game winning grand slam back in 1977.

Years ago I was at a Philadelphia Phantoms hockey game(they are the Flyers' AHL affiliate). About 1/2 through the 2nd period, this guy got up with his son to leave and his son asked him why. His response was because he wanted to beat the traffic. At that point, he was going to be the traffic.

100 percent agreed.

As we sat there with the Seahawks kicking our ass a few weeks back, I told the kids to sit back and soak it in, deep in. And next season, when we whoop them, it will feel a thousand times better.

Never. Ever. Leave. Early.

My wife and I are usually some of the last fans to leave the stadium. Most games we run into Hollywood and/or S.A.F.E. Brian walking around the lower concourse. By the time we get out to our car there is not much traffic at all.

I sit next to Hollywood. We usually split off at the top of the stairs, but we're there till the end every game.

I agree 100%, I stayed until the bitter end as well. I have not missed a down since 1988, and don't plan on starting anytime soon.

Yeah, but they don't label themselves the "12th man". Comes with the territory.

I'd say 50% of fans at NFL games are true die hards. There are some fans that you can't even carry on a conversation about football cause they just don't get it. They just have money and want the experience. 50% is probably being generous.
