Eh, he's a safety who can't cover or tackle very well. He'll end up somewhere but I doubt anyone hands him a starting job.

I wonder if he could play in some sort of linebacker capacity? He has always been strong against the run

I was thinking the same thing:shock:.

Me thinks he would be a good fit as a WILB in a 3-4 (Dansby's spot). He wouldn't have to take on blockers, would have above average speed and coverage skills and would be a decent enough tackler.

I prefer linebackers to play linebacker. :)

I was also thinking that.

Heck, let's put him and Adrian Wilson at outside linebackers.

As long as we're on the subject of playing people in positions they were born to play: Rackers makes a lot of special teams tackles; I think he should be the gunner on the outside.

A Cover 2 team will take a flyer on him because he's an ideal WILL in that defense.

Here's hoping the Cowqueers go 5-11 next season.

You can cut and add anyone you want, but under the control of Wade Philips, they are a horribly coached team

Rackers makes a lot of special teams tackles because he isn't expected to occupy a blocker. If he were a gunner (or anyone besides kicker) he would be blocked.

In special teams 10 block 10 and only try to block the kicker if they have released and have daylight in front of them. The returner is supposed to beat the kicker.

You can tell I have thought about this in the past..............

The Cowboys have made themselves better the last couple of days. Thank god for Wade Phillips. Even though he's going to be tougher this year :biglaugh:.

I'll ignore fir the moment that you've posted a serious response to my very sarcastic post, and as you why other kickers don't make as many tackles as Rackers (since you've given it so much thought)?

Not only that. but most of Rackers tackles aren't of the TD saving variety. He's generally making a tackle in the thick of it.
