I think I went to every Cards-Cowpie game in Big D starting in '77 & I can remember beating them in "77, '84, '89 & the '98 playoff game. Glad that piece of crap is gone!!!

True but i actually fancied them to go far this year as they seemed to have turned a corner. I know, those are evil thoughts for a Cards fan.

It's sad to see that happen. My first memories of texas stadium are not of the cowboys, but of epic high school football games that I went to throughout my entire childhood. I remember being wide-eyed seeing the hole in the roof from the inside. It sounds corny as hell, because over time TS turned into a dump, but as a child I thought it was a jewel. Those days seem long gone and now it will look empty when I fly home and pass by.

The cowboys lost some frustrating games there....the giants loss a few years ago is at the top of the list for me. But they also won a lot of games there over the years...much more than lost. I read that they won something like 213 out of 313. that's remarkable. I still remember seeing tom landry's shadow on TV.

I had a few good times at that stadium. Saw two Thanksgiving games there and a game when the Cowboys beat the crap out of us (that was NOT a good time). It was Tobin's last game, as I recall.

That said, the place was definitely a dump.

Hmmm, might just have to re-watch my video of our '98 play-off game in that stadium...just to commemorate the event.

Love seeing Tillman running around on D in that game.
