Sorry I don't have a link. I just saw this on Sportscenter. Parker got hurt in the first half of the Spurs game tonight and broke his 4th metacarpal. Estimates are he's out 6 weeks.

This means Hill has to even play better than he is playing now or at the very least maintain the current form. That or Jefferson steps up big time or else the Spurs will find it hard to hold on to the 8th seed.

As much as I am one to never shed a tear for the Spurs, I think it's a bit ridiculous to call it karma. They have won, what, 4 championships over the last 10 years or so? Now, all of a sudden, a hand break that will keep a core player out for the rest of the season represents karma? Gimme a break. Overstate much?

with our luck, the Spurs will just barely miss the playoffs, end up with the number one pick, which would enable them to rebuild immediately.

I guess you still remember how the Spurs got so good with their drafting David Robinson and Tim Duncan with two number 1 draft picks.

Yeah the got a better pick in Blair in the 2nd round than the suns did with Clark or lopez which were top 15 picks

It's way too early to make that argument. Blair didn't fall in the draft because of talent, he fell because he literally has no ACL in either of his knees. One injury to either knee is all it could take for Blair to be out of this league.

it appears that the spurs will make the playoffs as the 7th or 8th seed barring a drastic collapse. so that means they will get lakers/mavs/nuggitz. they will probably be one and done because those teams are much stronger across the board. but with a healthy TD, ginobli, parker in place they can push those teams and maybe get an upset.

i agree. not to mention that it seems like every year they battle tough injuries with one of their 3 key players. last year they lost ginobli at the olympics and had no chance vs a down mavs team in the playoffs.

TD and parker both have battled nagging injuries for a few years now causing them to miss several regular season games.
