Hmm, Leinart for TJ? Could happen. We'd be getting the better end of the deal with a starter.

Seems like it would be a very weird move to me.

Until proven otherwise, I'm going to put this down as a new coach, new system, bad fit type of trade. Maybe TJ and Carroll just aren't a good fit. Maybe when Pete Carroll got hired he walked to meet TJ in his limo and TJ rolled the window up on him. :D

I don't see how this would be a good trade for us.

2010: $7 million
2011: $8 million
2012: $8.5 million
2013: $9 million
2014: Free Agent

We already have Breaston, Doucet, and now Williams. We don't need another WR, especially one that I think is overhyped.

OT: Seahwaks actively trying to trade TJ Houshmandzadeh

per NFL Network and Jason LaCanfora.

Any thoughts/ideas as to where?

Schefter says they will cut TJ if they can't trade him and his contract is such that whatever the new team pays, Seattle makes up the difference. So if the new team pays him the vet minimum, Seattle still owes him over 6 million this year.

Also says Mike Williams won the starting WR job, the ex USC star who flopped in Detroit.

yeah - not a fan of cutting him and pretty much letting him play free someplace this year ....... for the $7M i'd rather see him in seattle

however, i think they'd get off next year which is also guaranteed - so if you want to hatchet a bad contract this could be the year to do it

We aren't going to pick up TJ's 7M in a trade, and he is going to be released.

Agreed trading for him makes no sense. He would be a pretty good rent a replacement for Boldin's spot, but I'd rather go with the younger guys.

Won't happen. Neither team wants the other player's contract and know they are each getting cut. They will both be released and available for a vet minimum contract.
