OTD: Aston Villa lift their last piece of silverware

It's 29 years to the day since Aston Villa lifted their last piece of silverware as a club.

The EFL Cup final - then known as the Coca-Cola Cup - saw Villa take on Leeds at the old Wembley.

The midlands outfit were aiming to claim the title for a record-equalling fifth time and that's exactly what they did on a marquee day at the famous old ground.

Savo Milošević opened the scoring in the first half with one of Wembley's great final goals.

And the win was secured in the second half as Ian Taylor and Dwight Yorke secured a 3-0 win.
