Wasn't sure where to put this on it's own and didn't think this guy deserved his own thread so I thought I'd start a thread for Suns staffing changes in general and start it off with this.

Jeff Fish has resigned from his position as director of performance, head strength and conditioning coach. He was hired last offseason.

Apparently he and Marquese had it out this year at some point, which isn't much of a surprise considering Quese's attitude and his conditioning, but I think this could point towards the Suns looking to keep Marquese moving forward. I know Gambo said previously the Suns would look to move Chriss this offseason and his days with the Suns were limited but this points the other way, IMO.

Here's the tweet that mentions Fish and Quese got into a verbal altercation...

I vaguely remember this being mentioned in November or December, I could be wrong though. There were a lot of negative Suns stories running in November so I could be thinking of something else.

Isn't this what led to MQ's one game suspension in January or February this year?

You are right, I thought that happened earlier in the season than that.

Here is an article on the suspension, they don't list the coach by name but they do say it's the strength and conditioning coach.

Should also be noted that Chris Haynes is the same person who reported that incident. He reported that and now is reporting that Fish is no longer with the Suns. Not much to that but I do try to keep track of the ESPN folks who are credible sources in case they try pushing a bigger story later. Here's the previous tweet about Chriss' suspension.

Fish was fired by the Falcons (over philosophical differences), has conflict with Chriss, and is now likely being let go by the Suns.

Not sure what the issues are but I doubt its all on the Sun's side.

agreed. seems like a situation where there's plenty of blame to go around, but not one where the Suns are the only participant in the dust up.

@Poop Head

I recall Scott Bordow saying something to the effect it would be unlikely the Suns keep both Bender and Chriss.

Can't remember context but it seemed to make sense to him.
