It appears Whiz' & Matt were definitely NOT a match made in Heaven. The players, anonymous, of course, were brutal in their comments, too. But, perhaps, honest. GO CARDS! :D

Can't argue with the content, but it's seems pretty contradictory to slam an athlete for not taking his profession seriously by writing something akin to a trashy gossip column.

THANKS for the "save" Warner HOF...

The article did give me a better understanding of what might have went down. Seems there may have been a bit of a power struggle between Whiz' & the front office re: Matt. With Whiz' contract situation settled (ie; security) I think he gained the leverage to do it his way. I'd be curious to know if Whiz' or the front office pushed to sign D.A., though. My gut feeling is Whiz' sees Hall QB-ing sooner rather than later. ...And he's willing to accept the growing pains all rookie QB's go thru. GO CARDS! :D

Pretty obvious piling on. No one played worth a good Great Daned in that New England game. In his career here, Leinert showed toughness at times, certainly in that game in Tennessee last year, also in his first year in the Monday night melt down, when he drove us down to miss the field goal at the end, same thing with the KC game the week before, helped us beat Pittsbugh in 07. The guy described in this piece couldn't have done any of these things.

This could be the end of Leinert or if he reaches down and revives his career it will be the best thing that ever happened to him, the moment where everything began again. I don't know how it will turn it but either way, this column is a hit piece that is unfair and undeserved.

I think the articles about Leinart get even worse as more anonymous quotes and details about what a head case he was come out

Meh, whatever. Dude is gone and not a Cardinal anymore. We have to roll with the ones here. I say DA throws 3 Td's 1 int and gets 300+ against the Rams and no sacks. We rush for 150 yards and Fitzs scores twice. Now that will be a great start to the season. GO Cards!!

Everyone trashes Cole whenever he writes something, so why take this one seriously. He could be completely correct lets just be consistent.

He can bag on him all he wants, but to reference that game or any of those games in that last half of 2008 is laughable at best. NO ONE showed up. They all played like a bunch of b!&**es.

"That attitude went over with new coach Ken Whisenhunt about as well as Whoopi Goldberg at a Glenn Beck rally."

It's pretty easy to pile on now, but I didn't think this article was very eye opening. Matt's fate here was probably sealed during the two QB platoon of '07. It was the best thing for the team and the worst thing for him. His confidence was shot after that move.

Also, one of the reasons the players didn't have confidence in him could have been that they realized the coach didn't trust him, either. I'm sure Whis' opinion has an effect on the players.

Really, though, none of this matters. Matt's gone and it's time to move on.

Cole is a hack and I hope Leinart runs into him on the street and kicks his smug, lying, hack ass.

Talk about a pile on. Cole is like the little guy to go and kick a man in the ribs after his whole gang already beat the crap out of him. Talk about pulling crap out...

And that sums it up.
