Are any of you concerned about how our division drafted thus far? Crabtree can be a weapon for the 49ers from day one, if they can figure out the QB position. Also, Aaron Curry, who I regarded as the safest pick in the draft, fell to the Seahawks to bolster an already solid linebacking corp. Lastly, it seems as though the Rams addressed needs by getting the OT Smith and Lauranitis in the 2nd round.

Overall, I don't think any of them made any bad decisions. I still think all three are in some stage of a rebuilding process, but this first day may have brought them up a notch.

I just hope another year of playing together makes us stronger than last.

I think they all had a good first day but so did the Cards. Curry is a perfect fit for the Seahawks, the 49ers have to amazed Crabtree fell into their laps and the Rams made solid picks. The NFC west is going to improve but I think the Cards stayed ahead by making making 2 great picks themselves.

I think Crabtree will be a good WR but will never be close to Fitzgerald and the fact as many stated has a so-so QB throwing to him

It's a bag half full for Seattle. I heard on either the NFL Network or ESPN that they rescinded the franchise tag on Leroy Hill and he is now a free agent.

Curry is a great pickup but they already lost Peterson and it looks like they may lose Hill.

One step foreward, two steps back IMHO.

Jetstream --- You might just find that Alex Smith is a better QB than you thought. He had NO ONE to throw to. They staked their claim on Vernon Davis to be the big receiving threat, and he busted more or less. In my opinion, Crabtree is the perfect fit for them, and may be the first receiver that they have had to really evaluate Smith with. God knows SKillet-Hands didn't help them any.

The pundits kept comparing him to Fitz because he can leap out of the building and make the impossible catch.

Im banking on two things: 1) The QB situation in SF and 2) The foot injury Crabtree had to keep him out of the combine. It could slow down his rookie season

I could be wrong, and usually am, but I don't think Crabtree is going to be anything special in the NFL. Decent WR, but not a game changer.

Other picks were solid by the division.

Now the AFC WEST....

I'm OK with the division getting better because...

it'll make us better. We'll have to bring our A-Game ever week. Anyone else get tired of hearing, "The Cardinals ONLY won because their division was dog-meat"... GO CARDS!! :D

Yep.... Crabtree just doesn't stand out enough to me. I think he will be mediocre.

I give him more credit, but before he can blossom, the 49ers need a better QB option than Smith, Hill or Huard. I'd take St. Pierre over any of them.

I think Crabtree is going to be special...the only thing holding him back is the mediocre QB and bad OL in 49er land. Overall I think all the teams in the NFC West have done well so far, no real head scratchers.

One of these teams can look very interesting if they take a QB in the later rounds. Nate Davis is the only remaining quality QB in this draft, IMO. Obviously, Davis would be a project QB, but could turn into something special in 2-3 years

It's good to see our division hopefully getting healthier with this draft. Makes our 12-4(or 13-3) record look that much more impressive.;)

I have to tip the hat to SF, they have had a great first three rounds. But as good as Crabtree is, that team is going exactly nowhere with those dog-s**t quarterbacks.

this guy is a great talent. He doesn't look like a guy to be scaird of, but his abilities and will is off the charts. that can't be measured. It's almost fitting that he landed in SF. If they can get that offense going he will be fine.

why is espn saying he has some baggage with his image? I haven't heard that this guy has ever been in trouble with anything.

San Francisco worries me. They are talented and doing everything right. When they find a QB, watch out. Rams and Squawks are at least a year away.

here is the deal with SF-

they better hope Marvel Smith is healthy. They had a sketchy o-line last year and really havent added any pieces other than Marvel. Everyone thought OT for them -- but they went WR. We have all seen what having good WRs but weak pass protection will do for you.
