I can't believe they can just change the rules like this. No need to hang on to that pick like its made of platinum. The Heat are going to be able to sign a top notch FA this summer.

I never had high expectations for that pick anyway. Unlike the Lakers being run by rookie GMs and Presidents and the idiot Jim Buss before them, Miami is run by Pat Riley.

I had zero doubt in my mind that Riley would get the Heat to at least a playoff level team in the East by the time we were due for those picks especially the unprotected one in 2021.

There are no top notch FA that the Heat could sign.

Their pick will convey and the Suns will probably end up with two late-lotto picks next year. In 2021 you have to hope it's a situation like Boston's where we're close to contending and we get someone else's top-5 pick.

40-ish wins next year and hopefully playoffs in 2020. I wouldn't mind tanking again but they're not going that direction.
