In the first part of the season we couldn't catch a break.

We had several times like 10 games in 14 nights and most on the roads.

Now? We have like 3 games in 11 nights?

Sunday against Sacramento
Monday off
Tuesday off
Wednesday against NJ
Thursday off
Friday off
Saturady against SA
Sunday off
Monday against Dallas
Tuesday off
Wednesday off
Thursday off
Friday against Utah

We have another stretch in april where we have 3 days off between 2 games.

The Suns had so many back to back games early in the season it was ridiculous. Now at least they get to spend more time practicing and evaluating who will be coming back next season.

I guess the likes or dislikes of this schedule would have to depend on if the team had a winning record or not half way through. If the Suns were winning games and in the playoff hunt, I would have to say that the schedule would benefit them due to the extra practice time and healing of injuries.

But overall, I do agree with you that the schedule is a little out of balance.

It is not so much winning or losing.

It's just that waiting for the next game. 3-4 days off without a Suns game, no football, no baseball, no soccer..

And 4 games in 5 days is just too much to follow.

Ahh-now I understand your frustrations. I feel the same way. The days where the Suns play just seems to make my work day go by that much quicker, since I have something to look forward to in the evening.

I agree, as a fan it kind of stinks. But for a coach, it would be a perfect opporunity to give/coach the youngsters. They don't have to learn on the fly sort-of speak, which is the problem with most youngsters time in the NBA. Give them 25-30 minutes then you have 3 days to iron out the wrinkles and prepare them for the next game.

I actually had a friend (actually two) who played for the Suns. Neither where impact players......in fact, neither really got signicant playing time. One of them was Llamas and one of the things he dreaded his rookie year was how fast everything moved both on and off the court (maybe this was more of a cultural thing.........Llamas came from a section of Mexico which is notoriously laid back) But he said he loved when they got back to Phoenix and had two or three days of practice amongst each other prior to each game. He said that's when he felt comfortable and developed confidence.

So the lack of games in the current schedule may be a good opportunity for Barbosa, Lampe, and Cabarkapa to benefit from a serious of practices.

Agreed. Are we still the #1 team in amount of games played right now? I remember we held that distinction since the first month of the season, and didn't relinquish it. As far as I know, we have yet to relinquish that dubious distinction. I thought that was the strangest bit of scheduling. There was a point where we had played several more games than the #2 team.

Llamas came from a section of Mexico which is notoriously laid back

That section being, uh, the whole country?

LOL

Yeah, I guess by American standards that would be accurate. My family is from Southern Mexico......Estado de Mexico, which is a city on the outskirts of Mexico City...............we view most states up north as very tranquil and laid back.

Yeah, that was kind of a cheap shot. Most Americans think of "Mexico" as the northern part of the country, but I do know that Mexico City is quite a bit more intense.

Absolutely! Mexico City has long surpassed Peking as the largest poplulation for a single city. It has nearly double the population that New York City has. It is also known as the International City becuase they have the largest international foreign student exchange program. Very busy, very diverse! Nothing like the little border cities which most people equate all of Mexico with.
